"Your daddy became your angel, he will do everything to make us happy". Help the family of a Ukraine Army sodlier Roman Chornobay fallen in Russian-Ukrainian war

"He was real. Honest, sincere, cheerful, very kind, like a child, always smiling. I felt that he needed us. I felt protected, felt his care and attention, warm gentle words, even there in the war, on the phone, he said that he loved us and would soon return... After losing his mate, you die with him. You don’t have the fear of death anymore, and what could be worse than this? Roman made me a happy woman. He was a real man, did everything to make us with Matthew always joyful and happy", says Tetiana recalling her husband, commander of the 128th detached separate mountain infantry brigade Roman Chornobay deceased in Russia-Ukraine war in Donbas, east Ukraine.

The two young people met on Tetiana's Day. That day she received a text message with greetings from an unknown number. "I replied, thanked and asked who that was. Message by message, we began to correspond daily. On March, 8 I heard his voice for the first time, sincere and nice. So we began to speak on the phone. I was in Kharkiv, Roma in Mukacheve. As I learned later, Roman took my phone number from my brother, with whom he served in the Ukrainian Army", says Tetiana.
After the wedding, the young family started to build up their life. First, they lived in a small room of the hostel because Roman started a military career, and then got a small studio apartment. Tetiana says that after the wedding, first, Roman said that he wanted a child. "I said let's wait a bit, because we have just started a family. However, I was very pleased to hear about his enthusiasm for having children. We waited for 2 years. Then we had Matthew. Roman was always there. When I got pregnant, he was so attentive to me and during the childbirth we were together. Then Roman took a month leave to help me with my son. He was cooking, washed diapers, completely took over all duties. Those were the happiest days of my life. I was so happy to have near this amazing and extraordinary man", says the wife of the deceased Ukraine Army soldier.
When the war in the East began, Roman Chornobay packed his ammunition and warned his son and wife that at any moment he could go to the East. "I believed and hoped that he would not be sent there, Roman was a driver. March. April, May, June, he was at home, but all the time he lived at work, but was not sent to war. And on July 21 he went to work and in two hours came back. Even then seeing his face I understood everything", says the wife of the deceased.
The woman said that Roman called almost every day, talking mostly about Matthew, planning the future. "If something happens to me, I love you very much - these words he repeated to me almost all the time during our last conversation on the phone. These words I will always remember", says Tetiana holding back her tears.
Roman Chornobay died in an ambush near the village Logvinove in the northern part of so-called Debaltseve Curve during the transportation of ammunition. By the Ukraine President Decree number 270/2015 of 15 May 2015 for "personal courage and professionalism found in the defence of national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath," Roman Chornobay was awarded the Order "For courage» III degree (posthumously). A session of the City Council Mukacheve awarded the hero with the title of honorary citizen.
The state helped the family of the deceased Roman Chornobay by paying compensation. "You know, if not for Matthew, I do not know what would have been with me now. Only Matthew gives strength and understanding that I now have to do everything to make him happy. But all know and understand that if the mother is not happy, the child cannot be happy either. My mood is transferred to him. So I try and really want to be happy, and enjoy life for Roman. For when I meet him, I am not ashamed, because he's happy, if we are here on earth smiling, not crying", says Tetiana Chornobay. Now 7-year-old Matthew studies in the second grade. The boy is growing rapidly, he needs clothes and shoes. Also the boy misses his dad’s love, care, attention and warmth. But the father cannot be replaced. Let's not leave without attention and care the family of the deceased Roman Chornobay: wife Tetiana and son Matthew.

Irina Hruzovenko speaks about her fallen husband, Ukrainian soldier of 28th detached mechanized brigade Alexander Hruzovenko

Irina Hruzovenko speaks about her fallen husband, Ukrainian soldier of 28th detached mechanized brigade Alexander Hruzovenko

"Alexander was a brave, kind and caring man. Always responded to requests for help, no matter who asked. Did everything  about the house with his own hands. He was learning all the time. Was very fond of our family and children, who have always been for him in the first place", says Iryna Hruzovenko recalling her deceased husband, Ukraine Army soldier of 28th detached mechanized brigade Alexander Hruzovenko.
Soon after the wedding, the young parents were happy to have a son, who they named Oleg. " Alexander was very happy then. All the free time he spent with his son. He read him stories, bathed our baby, sang lullabies, took the kid for walks ", says Iryna.

Since August 2014, Alexander Hruzovenko was in Maryinka, a town in the Donbas, east Ukraine, in the ranks of 28th Brigade. Iryna was then eight months pregnant. The woman says that Alexander suffered much for the situation in the country, and he said that if the enemy was not stopped then, tomorrow he can come to our homes. So the man decided to volunteer to the war in the East of Ukraine. "He went to the military recruitment office on mobilization summons”,  says Iryna. “And before leaving he bought all the things necessary for our baby, and the military ammunition for himself. He had served in the National Guard of Ukraine, so he was at once enrolled in the 1st mechanized battalion. Before the army service he worked as a builder".
During his stay in the Russian-Ukrainian war area, Alexander has not been on vacation. Has not seen his beloved wife, son, Oleg, and will not be able to hug the little Yegor, who was born after Alexander’s death, so the little son will know his dad only by photographs.

Iryna awaited greeting for her birthday, but Alexander not call. At the dawn, they covoy was shelled near Novomyhaylivka, Donetsk region. The sniper’s bullet hit the Ukraine Army soldier straight in the heart. And now, since this day, Iryna’s years without her husband count.

"The elder son, Oleg, was 14 at the time of the death of Alexander. He himself understood all. Kept this sorrow and pain inside. Rapidly matured. But it is still very hard without father. And then, Yegor had just been born, he was only three months", says Iryna Hruzovenko.

The state helped the family of the deceased Ukrainian soldier Alexander Hruzovenko by providing the compensation and housing. The children: 16-year-old Oleg and 2-year-old Yegor grow rapidly. They need seasonal children's clothing and shoes. Yegor also needs baby food. Let us help and support children who lost their father.

"He was the sun that shone and warmed us". Iryna, wife of deceased Volodymyr Momot, Ukraine Army soldier speaks about her husband

"He was the sun that shone and warmed us". Iryna, wife of deceased Volodymyr Momot, Ukraine Army soldier speaks about her husband

"Smart, kind and fair. In his 39 years brought up three children, built a house, planted a garden. For our family Volodymyr was a reliable support, protection, hope and confidence that everything will be fine", says Iryna Momot recalling her deceased husband, senior radio operator of 15th Brigade if transport aviation Volodymyr Momot.
After the wedding, the young Momots family began their arranging their common life. As they did not have their own home at the time, they lived in the husband's parents’ house. Soon, the couple had a son Vladyslav. This was a real joy for the young dad. "Volodymyr was very happy about the birth of the son. He helped me around with the child. Sometimes he came tired from work but first thing he asked me was if I needed help. He amused our son, sang lullabies, and as Vladyslav grew a little older, he taught him everything he could himself", says Iryna Momot.

The beginning of military pilot’s career was not easy for Volodymyr Momot. In those days, the early 90s, almost no flights were carried out, lack of funding, aircrafts in a very poor condition. "They, along with friends, with whom he served, by themselves restored aircrafts, painted, bought spare parts for vehicles and set them on their own plane, did everything in order to fly. Only real fans of their job are capable of this", says Iryna Momot.

Gradually, the situation in the army gained stability. At least we knew what to expect. Then another pleasant surprise occurred to the Momots family. They had two daughters Alina and Karina. "It was just indescribable joy for all of us, Volodymyr was glad now that he had daughters too, and Vladyslav – that now had little sisters", says the wife of the deceased Ukraine Army soldier. The woman adds that then they were happy and lived a full life. "All free time we spent with Volodymyr. Went to the theatre, strolled in the open air, walked in the forest, to the river. And the last time, went to the sea. This was our holiday just before the death of Volodymyr", says Iryna.
Volodymyr Momot, along with other members of the crew of the transport aircraft AN-30B which was downed over Slovyansk, died without having time to evacuate. Pilots at the cost of their own life, to the end drove the plane down outside the city.

The state helped the family of the deceased Ukrainian soldier Volodymyr Momot by providing an apartment and paying compensation. His wife Iryna and three children: 17-year-old Vladyslav, 8-year-old Alina and 8-year-old Karina are living in the house, which Volodymyr began to build, but the repair is not yet completed, and the apartments also need a repair. For the children it is so difficult, they feel so lonely without dad, whom they loved. Vladyslav, like his father, is going to be a military man. He is finishing high school, and the daughters Alina and Karina go to school; they love to sing and draw. They grow quickly, so they need seasonal clothing and footwear. Let us not stand apart; together we can help the family hero.
