He was kind hearted, loved children, nature, and the village in which he lived and worked. He was fond of ice-fishing. When they knew of his mobilization, family and fellow villagers bought him equipment, as Oleh only received an automatic gun. He served in a tank unit, defended the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. September, 18 his scout group was ambushed and took the fight. The connection with Oleh was lost; his relatives began to search for him. Only six weeks later the volunteers from Dnepropetrovsk found the body of the warrior, and reburied in his native village. The Command ignored the request of the family for assistance in the search of Oleh.
