The Starovs couple are together for 40 years. Olexandr is a professional soldier, Raisa Mikhailovna followed her husband everywhere, she worked in military hospitals as a head nurse.
They raised two sons real men, both served in the Army, and later worked for the good of their homeland. The family atmosphere was full of respect and love. Their traditional celebration days were May 8, the parents marriage anniversary, and St. Michael's Day on November 21. Olexandr always came home on these days, cooked barbecue, paid full attention to the family.
He always worried about them, never told bad news - worried for his mother's heart. Concealed the fact of being on Euromaidan, and only a scar on the leg from a rubber bullet confirmed the mother's guess.
When Russian aggression burst the Donbass, east Ukraine, he left home on the very first day of Russia-Ukraine military conflict, saying flatly: "Who will protect you, Mom, I if not me? If they come here - how will I look you in the eye? Do not expect me on vacations, I'll be back only with victory and rewards".
And he became an example of true courage; on the anniversary of his death, his brothers-in-arms visited his parents, kissed his mother's hands and thanked for her son, telling how he took the fight and saved their lives.
After the irreparable loss, his parents' acute chronic diseases have aggravated, both suffer from high blood pressure, the ambulance arrives almost daily, all their pension goes for medication.
