In 1998-2000 Vlad served in Airborne Forces of Ukraine, was a paratrooper. When the war in Donbass broke out, he could not sit at home and wait for while the enemy comes to his home. So he went to the draft office and demanded to be summoned. So he volunteered and was enrolled to the 92nd Brigade. He was deputy commander of the platoon, Sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Together with comrades Vlad had served to "0" position to the reference point "Facade" near the town of Shchastia. "Zero" is the hottest point of the red zone - area od Russia-Ukraine conflict. The deputy commander of a platoon of the 4th mechanized company of the 2nd Mechanized Battalion Sergeant Vladislav Blinov died on Palm Sunday, April 5, 2015, near the town of Shchastia, Luhansk region, Donbass, east Ukraine, during a combat mission. His checkpoint was shelled by Russia-supported militants with an antitank complex. Missiles hit a mine explosion barrier. TM-62 mines detonated.
He was awarded the Order of Courage III degree (posthumously) and the Order of National Hero of Ukraine (posthumously).
Vladislav Blinov left his wife Kateryna, who does not know how to live without her beloved husband. Now Kateryna on her own has to bring up twelve-year-son Denis, who just like his father. The boy is proud if his father a military man, who took up arms and voluntarily stood up in defense of Ukraine.
