FAMILY

"I still cannot believe that Oleksandr is gone. Just do not believe... It feels like he is to come back soon", says the wife of a Transcarpathian Oleksandr Terban, who died in the area of Debaltseve, Eastern Ukraine, the Russia-Ukraine conflict zone. Almost two years passed but the sorrow of the loss has not faded. The woman recalled that her husband, departing the astern Ukraine war zone after a week of vacation, said he would return, and a week later a tragic news cane to the family...

"The best chef, a master of his craft, there was a queue to have him serve weddings; cafes and restaurants all wanted Sasha to work for them", says Natalia Terban. Oleksandr worked as a chef.

Their neighbours told about their family they live like in a fairy tale. The creator of this tale was Oleksandr. Natalia says that her husband has always paid all the free time the family: travels, rest, walks, and various surprises.

Oleksandr wanted a son, but the daughter was born first - Christina. "You know, he was not upset even a little, quite opposite, he immediately began to help with the child, taught her first letters, entertained her, went for a walk together. And after four years, we had Vadim and dream of my dearest one came true. He used to say that he had a daughter and a son, and therefore he was the happiest father in the world", says the wife of the deceased.

Oleksandr planned to fulfil another dream of his wife and children: take them to the sea, and then take Vadim to school. But these dreams were never to come true...

Then in Debaltseve area there were constant battles; one of them took the life of Oleksandr. They say that an enemy shell hit right into the kitchen, where at that time was the man.

By the Ukraine President Decree number 282/2015 of 23 May 2015 for "personal courage and professionalism found in the defence of national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath," Oleksandr Terban awarded the Order "For courage» III degree (posthumously).

Now the family of Oleksandr Terban - wife Natalia and two children: 8-year-old Vadim and 12-year-old Christina learn to live without a husband and father. Children suffered a very painful loss. Natalia Terban says the daughter is holding it in itself, and Vadim cries, often escapes to the cemetery to stay with Dad. The wife of the deceased hero, Ukraine soldier who died in the fight against Russian aggression lives with her children in the house, which Oleksandr began to build. He did not finish the repair of the rooms. The family needs finances to get children's furniture. Help wife and children to feel our care and concern.
