"Surviving the loss of husband and father is impossible, but I have to live for the sake of the children..."

After months of dating the young couple got married and soon Snizhana gave birth to еру twins: Fedir and Maxim. “Oleh was extremely happy that we had two sons. He literally blossomed. Was always around me and helped them. Changed diapers, played with the kids, remained at home with them when I was working”, says the wife of fallen Ukraine Army solider. The boys responded fathers love, the women says, and loved father the most.

When the Russia-Ukraine war began, Oleh Doroshenko received summons. "For health reasons, he might not go to the front in the Eastern Ukraine, because of many illnesses and surgery operations. But Oleh said he would defend the country and be an example for sons, and anyway, how he could watch the guys in the eyes when they asked him why other parents went to war but ours stayed at home», says the wife of the deceased Ukrainian soldier.

In the area of Russia-Ukraine conflict, Oleh Doroshenko served in the ranks of the 28th detached mechanized brigade.

Once Oleh did not call during a few weeks. Snizhana thought of the worst. But the man called and for the first time told of the horrors of war he had endured. "He said he was on a mission and their squad got under fire. A few miraculous survivals were weeks without food and water and were about to say goodbye to life", a barely holding back tears recalls Snizhana, the wife of the fallen Ukrainian soldier.

A few days later, Oleh said to Snizhana that again was going on a mission, and warned his wife not to get worried if there would not be communication, as the use of the phone was dangerous – the location could be spotted. This battle was the last one for Oleh Doroshenko. The soldier died June 8, 2015, at 14 o'clock, near Krasnogorivka, Maryinsky district, Donetsk region, east Ukraine, the area of Russia-Ukraibe conflict, as a result of hitting on anti-tank mine and the blast of military truck GAZ-53 which was carrying the ammunition to the sposition of Ukrainian troops.

Now the wife of the deceased Ukrainian hero, Snizhana Doroshenko, together with her sons Fedir and Maxim long for the husband and father. The guys remember their dad every day, and every weekend to the cemetery. The state did help Doroshenkos’ family by providing the compensation and assigning survivors pension, but it is not enough. The boys are growing rapidly and need new clothes and their apartment needs repair.
