"After Dmytro’s death now I have to replace Dad for our son"
"He was a good and loving husband and father. Always helped and supported. He was very attentive. With him I could talk on any subject. And when the summons came from the military recruitment office, he went without hesitation to the East in order to protect my children and our country. He promised to come back alive. But he failed. Now there are only endless photos and memories in which Dmytro is always smiling and calm", says Svilana about her deceased husband Dmytro Voronov, a Ukrainian soldier of 56th detached mechanized brigade.
Soon after their first meeting Dmytro and Svitlana got married. When their son Denis was born, the man was in the seventh heaven. "Dmytro helped me in all ways. Despite the fact that he was very tired because he was on duty day and night, he got up at night for the son. All his free time he spent with us. He cooked. And we spent our leisure time outdoors, usually near the river", tells the wife of the deceased Ukraine Army soldier. The woman says she always felt the care and love of her dear one.
Since the beginning of the Russian Aggression, Dmytro Voronov was very worried about what was happening in the country, and when he received a summons from the recruitment office, without a moment's hesitation, he moved to the Donbass, east Ukraine, the area of Russia-Ukraine conflict. For the last time Svitlana spoke with her husband two days before his death. "In the evening, as usual, he called me and said that he was well, and that I would not have to worry, and that for some time there might not be connection, and he would call back as soon as he had an opportunity", recalls the woman. But the next day he did not call. And on the third day Svitlana learned that Dmytro was killed by a sniper bullet, doing his mission near Mariupol, Donbas, east Ukraine, and Russia-Ukraine war zone.
Now 8-year-old Denis goes to school, he is open to the world and new knowledge. But the burden of loss and sadness for his father are so distressing. His Dad was the authority for the boy; he tried to be like his father. The state paid Voronovs family the compensation. Svitlana is in the queue for receiving a new housing. But now, Denis needs clothes and shoes, and also they need finances for the repairs in the children’s room. His father promised to do the repairs when he would return from the war. Let's help Denis the son of the deceased Ukraine Army soldier, a fallen hero of Russian-Ukrainian war.
